Virtual Sketch

This is my first submission to Virtual Sketch. This is where a group of artist get together and paint or draw from the same reference photo. I was going for a Beatrix Potter look. Let me know what you think.

This is of a painting of a flower that Hannah took a photo of at a garden in Pittsburgh. This is my first oil on stretched canvas.

North Rim Sunset 2

I added the bushes. I felt it was way too monotone. I also deepened the sky.

Our Dog 2

Here is the finished painting of Our Dog. I added the background to match his sweater that Hannah made and worked on his eye. He still feels naked, however, without his collar.

Our Dog

I liked doing Karen's dogs so much that I decide to paint our puppy. I haven't decided on a background color yet.

Karen's Dog's

Here is one I did as a gift to my wonderful sister-in-law for her birthday. She breeds and judges Skye Terriers when she is not busy spoiling her nieces and nephew.

Carmen

Painting number 2. I don't think I am quite finished with this one yet, but I am learning that is the nice thing about oils, you can always come back to it and adjust it.

My First Oil Painting

This was my first oil painting that I did while attendind Lorelle Miller's wonderful art class. It was painted from a photo I took at The Biltmore Estates in North Carolina.
